WANT REAL POWER AND ECONOMY?

With our H2DDI ® Level II upgrade our Performance Computer (ECM) will add up to an additional 200rwHP!  This is a pretty bold claim to make, and we can back it up!   The dyno does not lie. There are 7 Power settings available that are operator selectable from within the cab and on demand.  Let's see the "competition" match this one!  Do an MSN or Yahoo Search on "Hydrogen Diesel Injection"... did you see who comes to the top of the list?   There is good reason for this!  We actually can do what we say we can do!

Each setting will add an additional 30+ rwHP.  The torque increase is about 100 ft. lbs per setting also.   This is real diesel power, real diesel torque!  This Level II upgrade in conjunction with our H2DDI® System will greatly improve the throttle response and you will feel the acceleration from the massive increase in torque.

Our new ECM Mapping is part of the H2DDI® Level II family of Performance Products for the 3406-E, C-12, C-15, C-16, N-14 Celect, N-14 Celect Plus, Detroit Diesel DD3 & DD4 Computers.

Our current Level II ECM performance map will allow for DD4 EGR and the DD5 EGR and the ISX GR Cummins and standard ISX Cummins Engines.

We have custom made Auxiliary Power Units (APU's) Specifically designed for your vehicle to help meet 2008-2010 compliance today!   Our H2DDI Units also reduce pollutants of the small APU's and increase run time by over 40%.   Call or email us at: customAPUS@water2electricity.com

DRIVING PATTERNS AND CONSIDERATIONS:

While driving in snow, heavy traffic, fog, rain, off highway or if excitement levels become uncomfortable simply turn the knob back to zero and your engine will once again run at stock specifications but revert to 100% economy mode giving you the full benefits of our H2DDI Wildfire® System.

At idle the H2DDI Wildfire® Level II Computer renders the engine back to stock fuel settings, pulse duration and makes all appropriate adjustments totally automatic and transparent to the operator.

As pressure is applied to the throttle and when the turbocharger begins to develop boost, the H2DDI Wildfire® Level II Computer will turn itself on and begin to add fuel at ½ LB. of boost.  Say goodbye to the turbo lag you became accustom to!  Your foot will feel as though it's connected to a mechanical nitrous or propane injection system.  As you push so shall you accelerate, and we mean hard!, your rig will pull like a freight train with power to spare!

Your driving pleasure will be further enhanced with W2E's H2DDI® Level II ECM as you will find also you are pulling through less gears...  this is especially true for bi-coastal truckers or Western U.S. Truckers.

Please note:

The Caterpillar 3406-E is making approximately 10 more HP per power level than the Cummins and Detroit for a 200rwHP increase!  The C-10 and C-12 will add 125rwHP over stock.  This improvement is rear wheel horsepower.

Fuel Mileage Considerations while running with Level II ECM:

Please keep in mind when thinking about fuel mileage, our Level II ECM is a performance enhancement and upgrade over our H2DDI Wildfire® Standard Injection System.

Generally, when you improve performance, fuel mileage is also improved.  Your fuel mileage can be increased when using this performance unit if you are an average owner operator pulling 60-80K lbs. across country.

Under these conditions, an average improvement of 4 tenths MPG is very common.  Some of our customers have seen over 2 MPG improvements in mileage even when in performance mode.  There are also situations where there may be no improvement in mileage.  These are:

  • Running around empty
  • Pulling very light loads
  • Running on flat level terrain
  • Pulling oversize or over weight loads
  • Running high power levels
  • Using the unit to gain enough power to run at excessive speeds

Detroit Diesels:

Many owner-operators do not know if they own a 60 Series Detroit DD2, 3, or 4.  So if you don’t know, you should call your local Detroit Diesel Distributorship and give them your engine serial number and ask them which series of engine you have.   If you still can not find out just give us a call and we will help.

Here is a quick reference list as to when the changes were made:

The DD2 Engines were produced from 1989 until June 1994, then from July of 1994 until June of 1997 the DD3 Engine was built.

In July of 1997, the DD4 Engine went into production and was used until December 2003.  From 2004 we began to see the first EGR DD4 Engines and now there is the DD5 EGR Engine.

Now as for horsepower, the 1989 through June 1994 DD2 Engines, (and for the older DD2 engines), we are able the rework your existing ECM to add an additional 60+ horsepower and set the RPM to 2400.  This is the maximum amount of horsepower this ECM will produce if your engine is already set for 470 hp.

If you need new injectors, we can supply you with a high flow set that will add an additional 50+ hp so you will have an increase of 116 additional rwHp.  If you still want more, a camshaft change will add an additional 50 hp so the total will be 166+ hp.  Not bad out of these older engines, and you will not hurt the reliability by doing this.

Now here is the catch, it takes two weeks to program your ECM, so to eliminate downtime for you, we can send a stock loaner ECM so you can keep on trucking.  When we are done with your ECM you simply send to us the loaner ECM, after you have made the swap.

For the DD3 and 4 Detroit’s, all you have to do is install the H2DDI® Level II Performance ECM Upgrade Package to your existing ECM and turn it on!   It is that simple!

We really know Induction!

Did you ever think about the weather and how it affects your body? How do you feel when the outside temperature is 90 degrees, 98% humidity or the other extreme, below zero and your nose wants to stick together with every breath?

What about the wind, you know what its like to carry a 4’X 8’ sheet of plywood into the wind or tarp a load in a 35 mph wind?  Then we have altitude, as you know there is only 50% oxygen in the air at 10,000 ft. above sea level.

The next time your driving over Vail Pass on I-70 in Colorado just stop at the rest area and go for a short run with your legs up the nearest hill.  How far do you think you’ll get, 40’, or may be 60’ and if your really in great shape you just may be able to run 120 feet up the hill until your lungs are gasping for air?

Now do you think your engine is gasping for air at that altitude?  You bet it is!

Your engine suffers from the same elements that affect YOU!  Your engine is alive and will talk to you through its response, sounds, feeling through the seat and pedals, the way it pulls, and through the gauges. All you have to do is listen to your engine and adjust your driving habits accordingly.  Better yet, how about forgetting all this and have our H2DDI® Level II Computer System take command and ensure you are getting the best in fuel economy as well as performance.

For instance, when it is well below zero and white smoke is coming from the stacks even though the water temperature of the engine is 180 degrees, the engine is telling you that it can’t burn all of the fuel because the air temperature coming into the combustion chamber is too cold, so back off the throttle slightly.

Then the other extreme; its 115 degrees ambient temperature outside and your pushing the engine hard and it just doesn’t want to go.  Of course the power is down, high ambient temperature and high humidity displace oxygen and that is what the engine burns, oxygen.  Our H2DDI® produces O2 (Oxygen) even if your rig was on Mars!

In other words, as the temperature and humidity rises, the amount of oxygen in a cubic foot of air diminishes.

The difference between a 60-degree day and a 90-degree day is NOT 30 degrees to the engine. It’s a 90-degree change; the engine multiplies the ambient air temperature by 3.

Your body does not want to work well in extreme heat or cold, and neither does your truck, so ease up on her, drop an additional ½ gear and back out of the throttle and let her breathe, or just let the H2DDI® Level II System take command and manage this for you.

Did you ever wonder why there are so many burned up turbos today?  What is your Fleet spending on Turbo rebuilds?  The ECM that controls the engine does not compensate for high exhaust gas temperature (EGT), but our Level II System is constantly monitoring and adjusting for you.  Without our H2DDI® Level II System you have to back out of the throttle and drop ½ gear or more to control the heat.  The standard ECM you have in your rig now will not do that for you!  The ECM does measure the temperature of the air entering the engine from the charge air cooler and if it gets to hot the ECM will cut back on the amount of fuel being delivered to the engine, but it does not check EGT.

Our H2DDI® Level II Computer does all this for you saving fuel, improving performance and reducing engine stresses leading to premature engine failures, downtime and turbo rebuilds causing downtime and poor fuel efficiency.

Custom Engine Management Systems (ECM's), fuel injectors and fuel rail solutions for alternative fuels and hydrogen fuels are available upon request.

Hydrogen is arguably the ideal fuel since its use in internal combustion engines produces only water and water vapor.  The current political climate is such that most car manufacturers are designing a hydrogen fuel cell car and the buzzword around the world is Hydrogen Economy.   However, we believe fuel cell cars are many years away and based on the tremendous cost and complexity of such cars may never become a reality.

Even if fuel cell cars make it to market, there are still several hundred million cars in the world that are running on gasoline and diesel, and continue to pollute.

It is more likely that gasoline and diesel fueled vehicles will be converted to burn hydrogen.  Vehicles with internal combustion engines (ICE) burning hydrogen is a practical and achievable technology to serve as an interim step to commercialization of fuel-cell vehicles.   We believe this to be true in a total H2 Conversion or just in supplemental Hydrogen Fuel as our H2DDI unit delivers today!

The primary advantage hydrogen-fueled ICE's have over fuel-cell vehicles is that it uses a proven technology, they are fast, flashy and currently available!  From the Chevrolet Corvette to the Dodge Durango... let us know what you want and we will deliver!

Unlike fuel-cell vehicles, which face daunting cost barriers and technological challenges, hydrogen-fueled ICE vehicles could be on the road faster.  Hydrogen-fueled ICE's generally employ various technologies, not unlike technologies developed for vehicles burning compressed natural gas.

Our ECM Solutions and H2DDI
® systems can be retrofit onto gasoline and diesel engines today, and makes it possible for these engines to operate on flex-fuels, gasoline, diesel and pure hydrogen or supplemental hydrogen, therefore becoming zero emissions vehicles (ZEV), now combine this with our ability to get you an H2DDI Enabled Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) for your big rig, and you can meet 2010 State compliance now even in the State of California.   We can help you get there, not on a dream but today and we can even help with the installation if you so desire.
